Girl Power ist ein Dokumentarfilm, der Graffiti-Künstlerinnen aus fünfzehn Städten in den Mittelpunkt rückt – von Prag über Moskau, Kapstadt, Sydney, Biel, Madrid, Berlin, Toulouse, über Barcelona bis nach New York. Die Graffiti-Community ist überwiegend eine Männerwelt. Und doch haben sich Graffiti-Künstlerinnen in den letzten Jahren zunehmend emanzipiert; (junge) Frauen und Mädchen, sie sind an vielen Ecken, auf den Straßen, in eigenen Crews und auf Jams unterwegs und aktiv. Und genau diese Geschichten fängt der Film ein.

Girl Power is a documentary that shines a spotlight on female graffiti artists from fifteen cities around the world, including Prague, Moscow, Cape Town, Sydney, Biel, Madrid, Berlin, Toulouse, Barcelona, and New York. The graffiti scene has long been dominated by men. Yet in recent years, female graffiti writers have increasingly claimed their space. Young women and girls are active on streets, in their own crews, and at graffiti jams around the world. Girl Power captures their stories, offering an inspiring look at their creativity, determination, and experiences within the graffiti community.
